Clinical Coordinator
Position Summary
The Clinical Coordinator supports the daily clinical operations of assigned clinics by coordinating staffing, clinic readiness, supplies, workflows, and clinical support. This role serves as a frontline clinical lead and works closely with clinic management to ensure efficient operations and continuity of patient care.
Qualifications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Daily Clinical Operations
Ensures exam rooms, clinical areas, and equipment are prepared and functional for daily operations.
Monitors overall clinic readiness and addresses or escalates issues that could disrupt patient care or provider workflow.
Ensures autoclave, sterilization, and wet-room processes are completed appropriately and required logs are maintained.
Helps maintain organized, efficient, and patient-ready clinical spaces throughout the day.

Coordinates daily Medical Assistant assignments based on provider schedules and operational needs.
Communicates assignments, schedule changes, and coverage plans to clinical staff.
Identifies staffing gaps and serves as the first operational resource for same-day staffing shortages.
Coordinates available coverage and escalates unresolved staffing needs to the Market Site Manager.
Adjusts clinical assignments throughout the day when necessary to support patient flow and provider needs.
Coordinates daily Medical Assistant assignments based on provider schedules and operational needs.
Communicates assignments, schedule changes, and coverage plans to clinical staff.
Identifies staffing gaps and serves as the first operational resource for same-day staffing shortages.
Coordinates available coverage and escalates unresolved staffing needs to the Market Site Manager.
Adjusts clinical assignments throughout the day when necessary to support patient flow and provider needs.
Clinical Supplies & Inventory
Oversees day-to-day clinical supply inventory and monitors supply levels.
Identifies upcoming supply needs and communicates shortages or concerns.
Verifies supply deliveries and ensures supplies are appropriately stocked and organized.
Supports the Assistant Manager with medication inventory processes and related clinical supply needs.

Coordinates implementation of established workflows and operational changes within the clinical team.
Identifies barriers affecting patient flow, provider support, or clinic efficiency and works with clinic management toward resolution.
Conducts periodic chart preparation audits in coordination with the Assistant Manager.
Facilitates daily clinical huddles and communicates staffing updates, workflow changes, and operational priorities.
Serves as a frontline resource for routine clinical workflow questions and concerns.

Leadership Scope
The Clinical Coordinator serves as a frontline lead and coordinator and does not have formal direct reports. The role may coordinate daily assignments, provide operational direction, reinforce established expectations, and support staff with day-to-day clinical needs. Formal corrective action, performance evaluations, hiring, termination, and other employment decisions remain the responsibility of management.
Key Accountability
The Clinical Coordinator is accountable for ensuring assigned clinics are operationally ready each day and that frontline clinical operations run smoothly and consistently.
