Maître D | Bent Tree Country Club | Dallas, TX
Reports to: AGM | Full-Time | Exempt
Bent Tree Country Club is seeking a dynamic and member-focused Maître D to lead our member experience and ensure smooth daily operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with member relations to ensure a welcoming and engaging environment
- Conduct FOH staff training to uphold service standards and enhance team skills
- Work closely with F&B managers; report to the Assistant General Manager
- Must be present on the floor to supervise FOH staff
- Manage seating flow to optimize member experience and operational efficiency
- Handle house reservations, including booking management and member communication between reception and host
- Supervise front-of-house staff, providing guidance, training, and support
- Control ambiance elements to create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere
- Create memorable moments for guests to enhance their overall experience
- Act as a liaison between FOH and BOH teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination
- Creativity with member feedback and suggestions
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience of 3-5 years in a country club atmosphere and/or hospitality management or a similar role
- Strong training skills and team development skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage reservations and seating logistics effectively
- Ability to create a positive and memorable member experience
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality certifications are a plus
- Must be TABC compliant & ServeSafe
Experience
- Proven experience of 2-5 years in a country club atmosphere and/or hospitality management or a similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Excel, and basic skills.
- Reservation/POS system knowledge i.e., (Seven Rooms, Club Essentials, Jonas)
- Experience in Google Workspace and proficient experience in Canva - highly preferred
Physical Requirement
- Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and various environments.
- Capable of climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, and folding/unfolding as required.
- Effective communication skills with sufficient visual acuity, including talking and hearing.
Education
- High School Diploma
- Equivalent combination of education and exceptional experience will be considered
