Personnel Assistant in Scott, Louisiana at Island Operating

Island Operating company looking for an organized, dependable, and outgoing individual to join our Personnel team. This position will support the day-to-day staffing and personnel needs of the company while also helping us find new and creative ways to reach qualified candidates.

The right person will be comfortable juggling multiple priorities, communicating with candidates and employees, and handling administrative responsibilities, but will also have a creative side and enjoy developing recruiting content, promoting job opportunities, and representing Island at recruiting and community events.

Responsibilities

• Review resumes and identify candidates who meet position requirements.
• Communicate with candidates regarding job opportunities and next steps.
• Assist with matching and placing qualified candidates and employees into open positions.
• Schedule candidates for assessments, interviews, and other pre-employment requirements.
• Prepare and process payroll and personnel changes.
• Maintain accurate candidate and employee information and assist with general Personnel department responsibilities.
• Create recruiting graphics, job advertisements, and other content using Canva.
• Assist with social media and online recruiting efforts to increase awareness of Island's opportunities.
• Keep job postings current and help identify new ways to reach qualified candidates.
• Attend job fairs, recruiting events, and community events to recruit candidates and promote Island Operating.
• Communicate regularly with Account Managers and other departments regarding staffing needs and open positions.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with candidates, employees, and company representatives.

We're looking for someone who can handle the details and think creatively. Someone who can review a resume, coordinate the next steps, help fill an open position, and turn around and create a recruiting post that gets the right people's attention.
