This role is ideal for a hands-on IT professional who enjoys solving technical problems and helping users stay productive.
You’ll provide desktop, hardware, software, network, and systems support across an on-site environment in Toronto.
The position combines day-to-day troubleshooting with equipment preparation, user onboarding, asset management, and technical maintenance.
You’ll support both on-site teams and remote employees, ensuring technology is configured, accessible, and working reliably.
The role offers exposure to Windows and macOS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking, remote-support tools, and a broad range of IT hardware.
You’ll work closely with other IT professionals while developing your technical capabilities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
This is a fully on-site opportunity with a fixed Monday-to-Friday schedule and potential emergency support requirements.
- Provide in-person, phone, and remote technical support to end users, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network, and system issues.
- Troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, printers, peripherals, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and macOS operating systems and business applications.
- Perform routine hardware maintenance, repairs, upgrades, replacements, and equipment preparation.
- Support basic network troubleshooting, including connectivity, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network-access issues.
- Prepare and configure desktops, monitors, keyboards, and other equipment for new and existing remote employees, including packaging and shipment coordination.
- Provide technical onboarding support to new hires, helping users connect to company systems and properly configure their equipment.
- Educate users on hardware and software best practices to reduce recurring technical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of support requests, troubleshooting activities, IT assets, and equipment inventory.
- Collaborate with other IT team members on escalated technical issues, infrastructure initiatives, and broader IT projects.
- Prioritize and manage multiple support requests effectively while maintaining a strong customer-service experience.
- Provide emergency technical assistance during major outages or critical incidents when required, with eligible hours potentially compensated through lieu time.
- Current enrollment in a computer-related program, a completed computer-related education, or equivalent professional IT experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate are valued.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, and remote desktop/support tools.
- Understanding of basic networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of computer hardware components, peripherals, and their functions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical, detail-oriented approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.

- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced support environment.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and develop knowledge of new technologies and IT practices.
- Ability to work fully on-site and remain within reasonable commuting distance of the primary Toronto locations.
- Annual base salary of approximately $45,000 CAD.
- Fixed Monday-to-Friday schedule with a 9-hour shift, either 8:00 AM–4:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.
