Position Overview
Arcline Ready Mix is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Dispatcher I to coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of ready-mix concrete deliveries. This role serves as a key communication link between customers, drivers, batch plant personnel, sales representatives, and operations teams.
The Dispatcher I helps keep daily deliveries running smoothly by assigning drivers and plants, monitoring delivery activity, responding to schedule changes, and keeping customers informed. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment, and committed to providing excellent service while supporting safe and efficient operations.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate and schedule ready-mix concrete deliveries based on customer needs, jobsite requirements, and operational priorities.
- Dispatch drivers and equipment to support safe, efficient, and on-time deliveries.
- Monitor truck locations and delivery progress using dispatch systems, GPS, and radio communication.
- Maintain ongoing communication with drivers, batch operators, customers, sales representatives, and operations personnel.
- Keep customers informed of delivery status, delays, schedule changes, and other service-related issues.
- Proactively follow up with customers to finalize schedules and communicate potential service concerns.
- Manage daily order changes, cancellations, and additions while minimizing disruptions to operations.
- Enter, update, and maintain accurate delivery and dispatch information in company systems.
- Coordinate truck routing and utilization to improve productivity and customer service.
- Support driver assignments in accordance with DOT requirements and company policies.
- Respond to operational challenges and help identify practical solutions that minimize service disruptions.
- Maintain dispatch logs, reports, and other required documentation.
- Support ArcLine Ready Mix's commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and exceptional customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and overall operations.

- Ability to learn dispatching, GPS, and transportation management software.
- Basic recordkeeping skills with the ability to maintain accurate dispatch information, logs, and documentation.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to properly follow all company policies and procedures for a safe working environment.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree in business, logistics, transportation, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in dispatching, customer service, logistics, transportation, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in the construction, aggregate, concrete, trucking, or transportation industry preferred.
Other Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment preferred.
- Knowledge of local roads, routes, service areas, and a strong sense of direction preferred.
- Ability to adjust priorities and respond effectively to changing customer and operational demands.
- Comfortable wearing required PPE such as hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe boots.
