Job Description

Production Team Lead (Night Shift)

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the production team during the evening shift, ensuring operations run efficiently, safely, and in accordance with production objectives. The successful candidate will support daily production activities, maximize productivity, lead and coach employees, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the smooth execution of production operations during the shift.
  • Review daily production schedules and distribute production documents to operators.
  • Ensure production employees have the equipment, materials, and resources required to start and complete their work according to schedule.
  • Train employees on standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with established processes.
  • Support employee development through ongoing coaching and training.
  • Monitor production flow, work priorities, and performance indicators to achieve production targets.
  • Analyze operational results and recommend solutions to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Participate in and support continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
  • Act as the liaison between Production and Maintenance to minimize downtime and resolve operational issues.
  • Support the onboarding and training of new employees.
  • Promote and enforce health and safety standards at all times.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and results-oriented work environment.
QualificationsEducation
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience
  • 1 to 2 years of experience supervising or leading a production team in a manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong production planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
