Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience, plus 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus 3 years of experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

In our highly collaborative and global environment, you’ll analyze the effects of projects upon various areas such as Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool to determine the most practical and cost-efficient methods to obtain the required resources and participate in the tactical planning for completion of identified project segment. Essentially, you’ll perform research and engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems as well as perform technical activities which impact the proposal, system level design, detail design and manufacture of advanced electronics systems.

The Information Assurance (IA) Security Posture Transition and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Specialist supports the installation, configuration, testing, maintenance, security posture transitions, and lifecycle support of complex mission systems and associated technical documentation. This role provides direct support to customers and test laboratories; develops and maintains technical documentation; supports system upgrades, downgrades, restoration, and validation activities; and ensures all deliverables comply with program, customer, and security requirements.

What you’ll experience:
  • Support formal and informal test events, customer-directed testing, system integration, and Fleet-support activities in laboratory, government, and shipboard environments.
  • Install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware, software, firmware, and Information Assurance (IA) systems.
  • Identify, analyze, document, and support resolution of hardware, software, and firmware defects in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Install and perform checkout of IA software and provide test and troubleshooting support at designated laboratory, government, and customer test locations.
  • Develop, revise, validate, and maintain technical and ILS documentation, including:
    • Posture Transition Operations Manuals (PTOMs)
    • Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs)
    • Maintenance Index Pages (MIPs)
    • Ready Reference Manuals (RRMs)
    • Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs)
    • Test procedures and operations and maintenance procedures
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum, technical, and program meetings; communicate project status, risks, issues, discrepancies, and test results to management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, government laboratories, customer representatives, and external organizations to define, document, execute, analyze, and interpret test activities.
  • Ensure compliance with security, classified-material handling, configuration-management, quality, and document-control requirements.
  • Work independently in a fast-paced, integrated product-development environment involving multiple contractor organizations and DoD entities.
  • Support shift work and domestic or international travel, as required, for laboratory and government-site test events.
What you bring to the table:
  • Prior U.S. Navy experience as a Submarine Fire Control Technician (FT).
  • Minimum of five years of experience supporting the AN/BYG-1 combat system.
  • Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining computer hardware, software, and network-connected equipment.
  • Experience supporting system testing, maintenance, laboratory, operational, shipboard, or other controlled technical environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver technical training.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, resolve technical issues, and meet customer-driven schedules.
  • Proficiency with issue-tracking tools such as GitLab, Jira, or Redmine.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in laboratory, platform, shipboard, and classified environments.
  • Ability to support shift work, occasional travel, and laboratory or government-site test events, as required by program needs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the position.
What sets you apart:
  • Prior U.S. Submarine Force, DoD, or defense-platform systems experience.
  • Experience supporting AN/BYG-1 and/or Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical Systems (SWFTS) products.
  • Experience supporting IA or cybersecurity posture transitions, system accreditation, security health checks, upgrades, downgrades, and system restoration activities.
  • Experience with ILS, system integration, developmental testing, operational testing, or Fleet-support products.
  • Experience developing or maintaining PTOMs, MRCs, MIPs, RRMs, IETMs, or comparable technical publications.
  • Knowledge of configuration management, defect tracking, requirements management, and document-control processes.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Relevant technical certifications, including CompTIA Network+ and Security+, are preferred.

USD $101,357.00 - USD $109,672.00 /Yr.
