Job Description

Position Summary
This position is responsible for coordinating employee training and compliance activities that support safe and effective warehouse operations. This role oversees onboarding, equipment certification, skills development, training documentation, and compliance auditing to ensure employees are properly trained and qualified to perform their duties. This position will be expected to collaborate throughout the organization to support workforce development, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Functions

  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver onboarding, orientation, and operational training programs for warehouse employees.
  • Manage forklift certification, evaluation, and recertification programs for all plant employees.
  • Maintain training records, certification tracking, and compliance documentation.
  • Develop and update training materials, work instructions, job aids, and standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct audits, observations, and skills assessments to ensure employee competency and compliance.
  • Partner with cross departmental teams to identify training needs and support employee development.
  • Assist with incident investigations and coordinate corrective actions, retraining, and compliance initiatives.
  • Analyze training effectiveness and compliance data to drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and operational performance.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for warehouse training, forklift safety, and compliance requirements.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibility but will be expected to assist in training all new employees within the department.

Work Environment
This job operates in an office as well as a warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to temperature variation, chemical transportation, forklift operation and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently will need to sit, stand, or walk. The employee may need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are generally 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Travel
Minimal travel is required.

Required Education, Experience and Certifications
High school diploma or GED is required for this position. Minimum of three years of experience in warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or logistics operations, including experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products. Forklift certification will be required upon hire.

Preferred Education, Experience and Certifications

Experience administering training programs, conducting audits or observations, developing training materials, and supporting safety and compliance initiatives is preferred. Forklift certification and experience serving as a trainer or subject matter expert for equipment operation and workplace safety are highly desirable. Bilingual in English/Spanish.
