Weekend In-Patient Unit Assistant Director in Statesville, North Carolina at Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County

The Weekend In-Patient Unit Assistant Director assists in the management and coordination of the In-Patient Units (IPUs), providing operational and clinical leadership during weekend coverage. Responsibilities include ensuring consistent leadership presence, assisting with supervision on the in-patient unit staff, overseeing staffing coordination, supporting clinical operations, promoting effective communication among team members, and maintaining continuity and quality of patient care.

• Graduation from an approved school of professional nursing with a preferred BSN degree and two years’ experience providing direct patient care OR graduation from an approved school of professional nursing and four years’ experience providing direct patient care with one year in home care nursing OR equivalent combination education and experience.
• Certification as a Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse is preferred.
• Supervisory experience required, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Must understand and be committed to the hospice concept.
• Must possess good interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written.
