SUMMARY

The Production Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of all production processes, as well as monitoring quality standards and costs and providing administrative support. Duties include, but are not limited to, inventory, production scheduling, team member scheduling, and team member organization.

BENEFITS & PERKSSalary Range: $65,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications, plus quarterly bonus potential based on budgeted operating profit and applicable bonus program terms. Insurance: Health, Dental and Vision available the first of the month following your start date; additional EAP, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, and Life Insurance options available.Additional Benefits: Monthly cell phone stipend (opt-in), 401(k) available after 6 months, and employee discount.Time Off: PTO accrual increases with tenure, plus 5 recognized holidays per year and paid leave provided in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.Growth: Supportive team environment with training and professional development opportunitiesPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESCreate production schedulesDaily reconciliation of all mix recipes in FlexibakeDaily reconciliation of case counts in FlexibakeOversee quality control throughout the entire production processEnsure all production is successfully completed in accordance with required deadlinesMonitor the efficiency of production equipmentConduct period-end inventory of all raw materialsNotify Shipping and Receiving of any short or low raw material needsDirect the sanitation team as neededFill in as a working team member as neededEnsure all team members and supervisors are trained in accordance with/to company standardsAttend and proactively contribute to weekly manager meetingsHandle disciplinary conversations with employees and administer disciplinary action as appropriateCoach/mentor staff through active performance managementOrganize and ensure efficiency of all production departments, including shipping and receivingEnsure production area is kept clean and organized at all timesEnsure staff compliance with all GMP and SQF programsEnsure prompt notification to the Director of Operations of any production, equipment, staffing, or work-in-progress issuesEnsure prompt reporting of all employee absences/tardiness to the Office ManagerEnsure that racks and pans are always readily available to the table team REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIESExcellent communication skills (e.g., written, verbal, interpersonal)Excellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlinesCommonsensical with solution-focused skills and mindsetAbility to remain flexible and work efficiently, effectively, collaboratively, and respectfully in a stressful, fast-paced environmentAbility to make intelligent, logical, professional, quick decisions under pressureProven leadership skills, with a positive mentorship style that promotes personal responsibility, accountability, and a sense of pride in the work to be doneProficient in all MS Office programsFamiliarity with FlexibakeEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or equivalentFlexibility to work varying hours, overtime, and Saturdays as neededProficiency in all production processes and stationsProficiency in the adjustment and programming of all bakery equipmentProficiency in all proper sanitation standards for bakery equipmentPrevious baking experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment is requiredCORE VALUES EMBODIMENTBe - Self-disciplined, composed, outgoing, pleasant, polite, well-mannered, neat and clean in appearance (in uniform)Have - Strong initiative, leadership qualities, a positive demeanor, and a voice of reasonAct - With integrity in all aspects of the job and hold people accountable to that same standardWORKING CONDITIONSMay occasionally need to work overtime and Saturdays to fulfill orders.Hours will vary depending on the business and staffing needsExempt employees will work 40+ hours as necessaryBe able to work on your feet for long periods of time (up to 12 hours)Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting products and supplies weighing up to 50 lbs., as well as repetitive hand and wrist motionWork with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment.
