People Analytics Lead

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a People Analytics Lead based in the United States.

The People Analytics Lead will build and shape a workforce analytics function designed to support strategic decision-making in a rapidly scaling, global environment.
This role focuses on transforming people data into actionable insights that influence hiring, organization design, retention, and workforce planning.
You will partner closely with People teams and business leaders to define meaningful metrics, improve reporting capabilities, and guide critical talent decisions.
The position offers the opportunity to create analytics frameworks from the ground up, establish best practices, and drive a data-informed culture.
Working across a distributed organization, you will combine analytical expertise with strong business judgment to deliver recommendations that create measurable impact.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced analytics professional who enjoys building systems, solving complex problems, and shaping the future of work through data.

Accountabilities:

The People Analytics Lead is responsible for developing a scalable analytics foundation, delivering workforce insights, and enabling leaders to make informed decisions through data. This role combines technical analytics capabilities with strategic partnership, requiring the ability to translate complex workforce trends into clear recommendations.

  • Build and lead the people analytics function, establishing frameworks, processes, tools, and reporting standards from the ground up.
  • Own workforce analytics initiatives including headcount planning, retention analysis, hiring effectiveness, compensation insights, and organizational health metrics.
  • Develop self-service dashboards and reporting solutions that enable People teams and business leaders to access meaningful workforce insights.
  • Analyze employee data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to talent acquisition, engagement, organization design, and retention.
  • Partner with People leaders and business stakeholders to support workforce planning, budgeting cycles, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Translate complex workforce data into clear recommendations and actionable business decisions rather than simple reporting outputs.
  • Establish consistent definitions, governance practices, and data standards across HR systems, applicant tracking platforms, and people data sources.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to improve data quality, accessibility, and reliability for analytics initiatives.
  • Provide strategic insights to senior stakeholders and help shape how workforce decisions are made across the organization.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced people analytics professional with strong technical skills, business acumen, and the ability to build analytics capabilities in a fast-paced environment. Success in this role requires analytical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to influence decisions through data-driven recommendations.

  • 5+ years of experience in people analytics, HR analytics, workforce analytics, or a related analytics function.
  • Experience building or scaling people analytics capabilities within a high-growth organization.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with analytics platforms such as BigQuery, Looker, Tableau, or similar tools.
  • Proven ability to transform workforce data into insights that influence hiring, retention, organizational structure, or business strategy.
  • Strong understanding of workforce metrics, talent trends, compensation analysis, and employee lifecycle analytics.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to independently define analytics priorities, create measurement frameworks, and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Experience with HRIS, ATS, and data warehouse platforms such as Workday, HiBob, Ashby, Snowflake, or similar systems is preferred.
  • Background in industrial-organizational psychology, statistics, data science, or related analytical disciplines is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and comfort working in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments.
Benefits:

The role offers a dynamic environment with opportunities to make meaningful contributions while supporting professional growth and flexibility.

  • Opportunity to help define and build a people analytics function from the ground up.
  • Ability to work in a high-impact, fast-growing environment shaping the future of AI and technology.
  • Flexible, distributed work environment focused on talent and impact rather than location.
  • Annual discretionary professional development stipend to support learning and career growth.
  • Annual discretionary social travel stipend to connect with colleagues.
  • Company-wide annual offsite events in new locations around the world.
  • Monthly co-working stipend for employees working outside major hubs.
  • Collaborative culture focused on innovation, autonomy, and excellence.
