Project Manager, Data Collection Delivery

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project Manager, Data Collection Delivery based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead large-scale field and onsite data collection initiatives that support innovative technology programs and client success. You will oversee end-to-end project execution, coordinating teams, resources, and logistics to deliver projects on time and within budget. Working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment, you will transform strategic objectives into actionable operational plans while navigating evolving requirements. The position requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, and exceptional communication skills to manage cross-functional teams and maintain high-quality delivery standards. You'll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and clients to solve complex challenges, improve processes, and ensure seamless project execution. This remote role includes travel to client sites and data collection locations across the United States.

Accountabilities:

The Project Manager, Data Collection Delivery is responsible for leading the successful execution of onsite and field data collection projects while ensuring operational excellence, client satisfaction, and alignment with business objectives.

  • Manage the full lifecycle of one or more onsite and field data collection projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery.
  • Translate program strategies into detailed project plans, timelines, workflows, and operational activities.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and according to client expectations and quality standards.
  • Identify project risks related to staffing, logistics, timelines, or operations, implementing mitigation plans and escalating strategic issues when appropriate.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, leading regular meetings, status updates, and performance reviews.
  • Analyze project performance data and provide actionable insights, recommendations, and progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance while supporting operational cost management.
  • Coordinate facility agreements, vendor interactions, and payment processes related to project operations.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, including project plans, standard operating procedures, process maps, and meeting records.
  • Lead and support Project Coordinators, Schedulers, and distributed operational teams to ensure alignment and productivity.
  • Collaborate with recruitment and sourcing teams to secure the appropriate workforce for project requirements.
  • Monitor onsite activities, ensuring operational readiness, quality standards, safety protocols, and issue resolution across all data collection locations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance project delivery, workflows, and operational efficiency.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines project management expertise with operational leadership, strong client management skills, and the ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-changing environments.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of project management experience within field operations, onsite operations, data collection, technical services, or similar environments.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-site, or distributed operational projects.
  • Strong client relationship management and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Experience managing project budgets, timelines, and operational performance metrics.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and project tracking tools.
  • Experience working with data dashboards or reporting platforms is preferred.
  • Agile, Scrum, or PMP certification is considered an asset.
  • Experience with crowd-based operations, robotics, or technology-driven data collection programs is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to client sites and project locations across the United States.
