Job Description

Description:

What You'll Do

You'll be the liaison between our surgeons and the patients they're treating. On a given day, you might interpret a provider's plan of care, enter orders for imaging or physical therapy, walk a patient through their discharge instructions. Triage patient phone calls and manage various tasks.

Our surgeon clinics run on the coordinators who keep every patient's plan moving between the exam room, the OR schedule, and the pharmacy. If you're an LPN or RN who wants real ownership of patient care, from booking sheets to post-op calls, this role is built for you.

Full time (40 hours per week) NO nights, NO holidays and NO weekends!!

Office Hours range from 7:15-5:00pm Monday thru Thursday and 7:15-2:00 on Fridays.

Essential Functions: 100% clinic role with phone triage rotation

Clinic care:

  • Keep clinic flow moving and adjust on the fly when the day gets busy
  • Interpret and act on the provider's plan of care within your licensed scope
  • Enter orders for imaging, injections, consults, referrals, and physical therapy
  • Fill and refill prescriptions, checking PDMP and following DEA recordkeeping standards
  • Complete surgery booking sheets and the Nurse Review with each patient
  • Coordinate clearance for holding blood thinners ahead of pre-cert and approval
  • Educate patients on their care plan and confirm they understand it
  • Review discharge summaries with patients and answer their questions

Behind the scenes:

  • Prepare charts ahead of upcoming clinics
  • Relay test results and complete post-op calls within 2–3 weeks of surgery
  • Handle medication prior authorizations
  • Manage incoming mail, refill requests, and outside orders from therapy offices
  • Keep your task list and your providers' open orders on track
  • Answer phones, triage calls, and protect patient privacy on every one of them

Why You'll Love It Here:

  • We built four values into how this team works, and you'll feel all of them in your first week:
  • Expertise. Ongoing training so you keep sharpening your skills, not just maintaining them.
  • Tenacity. Room to advocate for your patients until they get the answer they need.
  • Compassion. A team that treats patients like people, not appointment slots.
  • Synergy. Coworkers who back each other up, especially on the hard days.
  • Half-day Fridays; because your weekend should start early
  • Comprehensive benefits package; health, dental, vision, and more
  • A culture of investing in you; regular Lunch & Learns to keep growing your skills
  • Events all year long; social gatherings, mental health and wellness programming, and financial wellness events designed to
  • support the whole you
  • A team that feels like one, supportive coworkers and leadership who value work-life balance as much as patient care
  • If you're ready to bring your clinical skills to a team that will invest right back in you, we'd love to hear from you
