Part-Time Evening Cleaner in Virginia Beach, Virginia at Global Cleaning Services Corp

If you love animals and want to make a difference behind the scenes, we'd love to hear from you! Global Cleaning Services is hiring a dependable Part-Time Evening Cleaner to help keep a local animal shelter clean, safe, and welcoming.

While you won't work directly with the animals, your work plays an important role in maintaining a healthy environment for the shelter's staff, visitors, and the animals in their care.

Schedule

• 5pm - 9pm
• The shelter operates 7 days a week, so weekend availability is required. Your scheduled workdays will be discussed during the interview.

• Clean restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust
• Empty trash and replace liners
• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces
• Restock restroom supplies
• Follow all cleaning and safety procedures

Although you will not work directly with the animals, this is an active animal shelter. The animals are kept in secured areas, but you should expect:

• Pet dander and animal odors
• Hair and fur in some areas
• A fast-paced environment where cleanliness is essential

If you have severe pet allergies or are highly sensitive to pet dander, this position may not be the best fit.

• Reliable and dependable
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Able to stand, walk, bend, and perform cleaning tasks throughout the shift
• Previous cleaning experience is a plus, but not required, we will train the right candidate.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check. Due to the animal shelter's connection with an adjacent police facility and secure areas, only candidates who meet the background requirements will be considered for employment.
