Onsite Supervisor

Job Overview

The Onsite Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily staffing operations at a client (manufacturing or supply chain) work site. This role serves as the primary point of contact between us, the client, and our associate workforce to ensure smooth operations, consistent attendance, strong associate performance, and high levels of customer satisfaction. The Onsite Supervisor is responsible for associate support, shift coordination, issue resolution, safety compliance, workforce planning, and oversight of associate support services provided by us, including transportation and housing where applicable.

Bilingual Spanish/English skills are essential for this position, as the role requires frequent communication with a diverse workforce, client leadership, and associates utilizing support services.

Detailed Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the onsite representative for the staffing company at the client location. • Build and maintain strong working relationships with client supervisors, managers, and temporary associates.

• Coordinate daily staffing needs, including headcount management, attendance tracking, call offs, and shift coverage.

• Conduct associate check-ins, onboarding support, orientation, and assignment-related communication.

• Ensure all associates understand job expectations, attendance policies, safety procedures, workplace rules, and support resources available.

• Monitor associate performance, productivity, attendance, and overall engagement while addressing concerns in a timely and professional manner.

• Investigate and resolve associate relations issues, attendance problems, and job assignment concerns.

• Communicate client staffing demands, schedule changes, and operational updates to customer success and recruitment teams.

• Maintain accurate records related to attendance, disciplinary actions, coaching conversations, incident reports, transportation matters, housing concerns, and other workforce activity in applicant tracking system.

• Support payroll processes by reviewing timekeeping records and ensuring accurate submission of associate hours.

• Conduct regular floor walks and maintain visibility on the production floor to monitor associate performance, safety, and morale.

• Promote a safe work environment by reinforcing safety policies, reporting incidents, and partnering with the client on corrective actions.

• Help reduce turnover by building rapport with associates, identifying concerns early, and supporting retention initiatives.

• Provide bilingual communication and translation support between Spanish-speaking associates and English-speaking client contacts or internal teams.

• Prepare reports and provide updates on staffing levels, attendance trends, turnover, performance issues, transportation coordination, housing concerns, and other site metrics.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, client expectations, and all applicable employment practices.

Transportation Oversight Responsibilities

• Oversee that local transportation provided operates smoothly and reliably in support of client attendance and operational needs.

• Coordinate transportation logistics and ensure associates arrive at work sites on time and that transportation service remains seamless for the client.

• Monitor transportation-related issues, communicate delays or service concerns, and work with internal teams to resolve problems quickly.

• Maintain visibility into the condition, usage, and scheduling of company-provided vehicles used in support of associate transportation.

• Ensures all required maintenance, inspections, and service for company-provided vehicles are completed in a timely manner and properly documented by drivers.

• Report vehicle issues, safety concerns, accidents, or maintenance needs immediately and follow internal procedures for escalation and resolution.

Housing Oversight Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly housing inspections for associate housing provided, where applicable. • Monitor housing conditions for cleanliness, safety, occupancy compliance, and overall habitability standards are maintained.

• Document inspection findings, follow up on deficiencies, and coordinate corrective actions with the appropriate internal teams or vendors.

• Address housing-related associate concerns in a timely, professional, and respectful manner. • Ensures company-provided housing is managed in accordance with our policies and expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. • Previous experience in staffing, onsite management, workforce supervision, or manufacturing/supply chain operations strongly preferred.

• Bilingual in Spanish and English required; must be able to speak, read, and write clearly in both languages.

• Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills with the ability to build trust at all levels. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with professionalism and urgency.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Experience with attendance tracking, associate coaching, client communication, and operational coordination preferred.

• Basic to intermediate computer skills, including email, spreadsheets, timekeeping systems, and staffing software.

• Ability to walk the floor regularly and work in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment as needed.

• Ability to oversee transportation and housing-related operational details while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

• Flexible schedule availability may be required, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or shift changes based on client needs.

Preferred Skills

• Customer service mindset with a strong sense of urgency.

• Ability to problem-solve independently and make sound decisions quickly.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Knowledge of safety practices in warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environments. • Experience coordinating transportation, vehicle maintenance, or associate housing support is a plus.

• Ability to work effectively with a diverse associate population.

• Experience supporting high-volume staffing accounts is a plus.

Work Environment

• This position is based on site at a client’s manufacturing, supply chain, warehouse, distribution, or production facility.

• The role may also involve oversight of off-site associate support services, including transportation and housing where provided by us.

• The position may require standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended periods, as well as travel locally to inspect housing or address transportation-related needs. • Exposure to typical industrial environments, varying temperatures, noise, and active production areas may occur.
