DESCRIPTION
  • Define and architect the Energy OBDII strategy including requirements development for Energy Systems – in particular, Thermal and Climate Systems will be of heavy focus. The strategy should be appropriate for a Gasoline Range Extended Electric Vehicle.
  • Apply knowledge of OBD regulations (e.g., J1968, J1979) to define requirements for hardware and software that support the vehicle level strategy.
  • Establish an OBD roadmap for Energy Systems to ensure robust customer service and OBD compliance for Traveler and Terra products.
  • Work with System Engineers to define and agree upon OBD execution.
  • Work closely with hardware and software engineering teams to integrate OBD efforts seamlessly into the Energy Systems architecture.
  • Maintain OBD requirements
  • Guide the development of the Energy Systems OBD processes and tools.
  • Develop and manage Energy Systems OBD DVP(s)
  • Participate in calibration development trips as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Masters of EE
  • 3 - 10 years of experience
  • Strong understanding of Thermal/Climate control, Energy Management, Charging
  • Works closely with power electronics, battery systems, and control systems engineers to integrate thermal and energy solutions seamlessly.
  • Collaborates with manufacturing teams to support the production and assembly of Energy sub‑systems.
  • 12 month contract.
  • English (C1-C2).
  • German language skills are considered a plus.
