Description:

The Floating Maintenance Technician provides maintenance and repair support across multiple apartment communities as needed. This role is responsible for ensuring that properties are well-maintained, safe, and visually appealing by responding to service requests, completing preventative maintenance, and assisting with unit turns. The ideal candidate is adaptable, skilled in multiple trades, and comfortable traveling between properties.

Responsibilities

  • Travel between assigned properties, 75 Canal (Manchester, NH) and Windsor Terrace (Hooksett, NH) 5 days a week, Monday through Friday
  • Adapt to varying site needs
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, and appliance repair
  • Respond to and complete work orders in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist with apartment unit turns, including make-ready repairs and inspections
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize future repairs
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance issues efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
  • Communicate effectively with property managers, residents, and vendors
  • Provide on-call or after-hours emergency maintenance support as required
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 3 years of apartment or residential maintenance experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs
  • EPA Universal Certification preferred (or ability to obtain)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across multiple locations with different teams
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Travel 5 days per week, Monday through Friday, between apartment communities located in New England
