About the Role:
The Security Associate plays a critical role in safeguarding the manufacturing facility, its personnel, and assets by implementing and maintaining comprehensive security measures. This position is responsible for monitoring access points, conducting regular patrols, and responding promptly to any security incidents or emergencies. The Security Associate ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, contributing to a safe and secure working environment. By collaborating with management and other departments, the role supports risk mitigation strategies and continuous improvement of security protocols. Ultimately, the Security Associate helps protect the integrity of the manufacturing operations and promotes a culture of safety and vigilance throughout the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Basic knowledge of security systems, surveillance equipment, and emergency response protocols.
- Ability to pass background checks and meet physical fitness requirements.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in security management or related professional credentials (e.g., Certified Protection Professional, OSHA safety training).
- Must hold a valid TOPs card/certification
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and associated safety regulations.
- First aid and CPR certification.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct investigations and prepare detailed incident reports.
- Must be ok with working in non-climate control facility.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control access to the manufacturing facility, verifying credentials and authorizing entry to employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Conduct routine patrols of the premises to detect and deter unauthorized activities, safety hazards, or security breaches.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as necessary.
- Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations to support investigations and compliance audits.
- Collaborate with management to review and update security policies, procedures, and training programs to enhance overall security posture.

The Security Associate utilizes observational and analytical skills daily to identify potential security risks and respond appropriately to incidents. Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with employees, visitors, and emergency personnel, ensuring clear and concise information exchange. Hours:
6:00AM-6:00PM or 6:00PM-6:00AM; Weekend Shift: Friday-Sunday 6:00AM-6:00pm
