Job Description
Wadhwani AI Global (WAIG) is a next-generation AI transformation partner for governments and multilaterals across Africa, Latin America, and Asia. We combine cutting-edge AI products with deep advisory capabilities to unlock billion-dollar opportunities in health, education, and agriculture.
You will own key workstreams within WAIG’s fundraising engine, including donor research, pipeline tracking, proposal development, and preparation for institutional engagements. This role is ideal for someone early in their fundraising or partnerships career who wants exposure to global funders, AI-for-good programs, and high-impact work across the Global South.
Responsibilities1. Support WAIG’s Fundraising StrategyBuild the fundraising roadmap for foundations, multilaterals, DFIs, and philanthropic partners
Map donor priorities, funding windows, and strategic opportunities for key sectors/regions
Help build a structured pipeline of fundraising opportunities across priority markets
Support the development of concept notes, proposals, pitch decks, and donor briefs
Translate WAIG’s programs and AI solutions into clear, compelling funding narratives
Conduct background research, evidence gathering, and donor alignment analysis
Support leadership in engaging foundations, multilaterals, and development institutions
Conduct analysis of funding models, including grants, co-financing, and blended structures
Help align funding opportunities with product scale and country expansion plans
Track funder relationships, follow-ups, next steps, and active opportunities
Maintain fundraising trackers, donor databases, and pipeline dashboards
Coordinate inputs across growth, operations, product, finance, and program teams
5. Contribute to WAIG’s Global Positioning
Support thought leadership, donor communications, and external positioning
Help identify relevant global forums, funding platforms, and strategic networks
Contribute to building WAIG’s reputation as a credible AI-for-public-good partner
2–5 years of experience in fundraising, partnerships, development sector strategy, consulting, philanthropy, or international development
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
Ability to develop clear proposals, donor briefs, pitch decks, and structured narratives
Interest in foundations, multilaterals, DFIs, philanthropy, and development finance
Strong project management skills, with the ability to track and handle multiple opportunities
Comfort working with cross-functional teams across growth, programs, product, and finance
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
