Production Planner in Kill Buck, New York at Lake Erie Tobacco Company

The Production Planner is responsible for creating production orders, maintaining the production schedule, and overseeing the production clerks for the secondary operations.

• Accurately and efficiently create and record production orders in Traverse.
• Verify that all production orders are accurately recorded.
• Review production order Bill of Materials to identify any variances.
• Effectively communicate with Production Supervisors and Secondary Manager to ensure product and counts are correct.
• Review inventory levels to plan and create the production schedule for the Secondary Department and adjust as needed.
• Compile and update production reports using various computer programs.
• Supervise the production scheduling department, including the production clerks.
• Occasionally lift/position material up to 50 lbs.
• Keep work area organized and clean.
• Assist in quarantining any Work-in-Progress or partial runs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Secondary Manager or Director of Operations.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficient at computer software’s such as word and excel.
• Knowledge or ERP systems.
• Associates Degree or Certificate in related field preferred.
• Strong safety orientation required.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
