ASU-Beebe Virtual Ag Technician

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a ASU-Beebe Virtual Ag Technician based in United States.

Launch your agricultural equipment service career through a hands-on technician development program that combines full-time dealership experience with online technical education.
You’ll work directly in a service department while completing the John Deere Ag Tech Virtual Program through Arkansas State University–Beebe.
The program blends four days of practical, supervised experience each week with one day of online coursework.
You’ll develop real-world skills in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing agricultural and turf equipment.
Experienced technicians will provide guidance and mentorship as you build your mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diagnostic capabilities.
The opportunity is designed to prepare you for a long-term career in agricultural equipment service after graduation.
Successful participants may transition into a permanent technician assignment at a different location following completion of the program.

Accountabilities
  • Participate actively in service-related projects and assignments within the dealership service department.
  • Work full-time at the dealership while completing the John Deere Ag Tech Virtual Program online through Arkansas State University–Beebe.
  • Shadow experienced service personnel to gain practical knowledge and develop hands-on technician skills.
  • Perform basic diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on agricultural and turf equipment and established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products.
  • Participate in required Service EDUCATE training programs to build technical knowledge and professional capabilities.
  • Maintain current knowledge of John Deere equipment, technologies, and competitive products.
  • Follow all workplace safety rules, procedures, and applicable regulations when performing service assignments.
  • Complete required service reports, forms, documentation, timecards, and material records accurately.
  • Properly account for time worked and materials used in connection with assigned repairs and projects.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to learning, skill development, and successful completion of the academic program.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience is required.
  • Meet the admission requirements for Arkansas State University–Beebe and pursue an Associate of Applied Science degree through the John Deere Tech program.
  • Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA while enrolled in the program.
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance using specialized tools and equipment while following technical manual procedures.
  • Possess foundational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in agricultural and turf equipment.
  • Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic and service purposes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn from experienced technicians, follow instructions, and work effectively as part of a service team.
  • Ability to lift at least 75 pounds repeatedly as required for service activities.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and be eligible to operate vehicles associated with the role.
  • Ability to pass required pre-employment screening, including a drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle record review.
  • Must be insurable for work-related travel between applicable locations.
