Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience, plus 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
As an Engineering Support Specialist you will be a key part of a cross-functional team supporting Hardware Engineering designing complex, mission-critical systems. You will have the opportunity to be involved with program phases to include Electrical and Mechanical prototype/pre-production design builds, cable/cable harness builds and system/sub-system chassis integrations where you will identify and provide feedback of potential issues or improvements prior to production. Responsibilities will include the ability to understand Electrical and Mechanical drawing designs, interconnects and use of hand tools to build and integrate system and sub-system components - cable, wiring, chassis build & integration.
Additional responsibilities include the understanding and following circuit board rework instructions replacing surface mount and through hole components and white wire additions.
- Thinking outside-the-box to find solutions to integration and build issues
- IPC J-STD-001 (CIS) Certification
- Ability to solder using a microscope
- Experienced using pin & socket crimp tools.
- Familiar with military style connectors, for example D38999
- Understanding of the hardware development process throughout the lifecycle of a program

Salary Note

Combined Salary Range
USD $86,116.00 - USD $91,000.00 /Yr.
