This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Mobile Staff QA Engineer based in Brazil.

This is a senior technical quality engineering role focused on shaping quality across native iOS and Android applications.
You will define scalable mobile testing strategies and establish automation standards across the development and release lifecycle.
The role combines hands-on expertise with technical leadership, covering devices, operating systems, network conditions, releases, and production environments.
You will also help introduce AI-assisted and agentic testing workflows to improve regression efficiency, defect detection, and engineering velocity.
Close collaboration with Engineering, Product, Platform, and other technical teams will be central to your impact.
You will influence quality practices across teams while mentoring QA engineers and strengthening their automation and testing capabilities.

• Own and continuously evolve the mobile quality strategy, defining the appropriate balance of automated, exploratory, integration, and end-to-end testing across iOS and Android.
• Design, maintain, and improve scalable mobile automation frameworks using tools such as Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, or Maestro, integrating automated testing into CI/CD workflows.
• Define testing strategies for mobile-specific scenarios, including application lifecycle, deep and universal links, push notifications, permissions, biometric authentication, gestures, accessibility, localization, and variable network conditions.
• Establish device and operating system coverage strategies using real-device testing platforms such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, AWS Device Farm, Firebase Test Lab, or similar solutions.
• Lead mobile release quality practices and use crash, performance, and observability data to identify and reduce production risks.
• Develop and operationalize AI-assisted and agentic testing workflows for test generation, regression identification, execution, and defect detection while maintaining appropriate human validation.
• Establish measurable standards for AI-enabled testing, including quality, coverage, regression stability, accuracy, defect detection, and clear validation boundaries.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Platform, and technical stakeholders to refine requirements, investigate complex device-specific issues, assess quality risks, and define effective validation approaches.
• Improve QA methodologies, automation frameworks, documentation, metrics, and reusable testing practices.
• Mentor and coach QA engineers in mobile automation, test design, quality engineering, AI-assisted workflows, and disciplined validation practices.

• 8+ years of experience in quality assurance engineering, with significant experience testing native iOS and/or Android applications through both manual and automated approaches.
• Advanced hands-on experience with mobile automation frameworks such as Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, or Maestro.
• Proficiency working with Kotlin and/or Swift, along with solid programming experience using languages and testing frameworks such as Java, TestNG, or JUnit.
• Experience developing device and operating system coverage strategies using real-device testing platforms.
• Strong knowledge of mobile CI/CD, release, and distribution tools such as Fastlane, Bitrise, App Center, TestFlight, Google Play Console, GitLab, or GitHub.
• Experience with mobile debugging, profiling, crash reporting, and observability tools such as adb, logcat, Xcode Instruments, Android Studio Profiler, Charles, Proxyman, Crashlytics, Sentry, or Datadog.
• Familiarity with bug tracking and test management platforms such as Jira and TestRail, combined with a strong understanding of software development and QA methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted testing, AI testing platforms, or MCP-based test generation and execution, with sound judgment regarding reliability, validation, and human oversight.
• Demonstrated ability to improve team efficiency or product quality through strategic use of AI tools and automation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to identify root causes across complex mobile systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence technical and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Proactive ownership mindset, adaptability, resilience, and comfort working through ambiguity and complex technical challenges.
• Experience with mobile accessibility, localization, internationalization, or visual regression testing is a strong asset.
