Position Overview

Legacy Solutions Inc. is seeking a highly qualified, Florida-certified Elementary Gifted Teacher to support academically gifted students at a school in Jacksonville, Florida.

The ideal candidate is a passionate, creative, and experienced educator who can provide challenging, differentiated instruction that promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and academic excellence.

Applicants must hold a valid Florida teaching certificate.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons designed to meet the advanced academic needs of gifted elementary students.

Provide enrichment opportunities that promote higher-order thinking, creativity, and independent learning.

Implement instructional strategies aligned with Florida's academic standards and gifted education requirements.

Develop and support students' Educational Plans (EPs), as applicable.

Monitor student progress and maintain accurate instructional records.

Collaborate with classroom teachers, school administrators, and families.

Establish a positive, structured, and intellectually stimulating learning environment.

Participate in required school meetings, professional development, and instructional planning.

Required Qualifications

Valid Florida Professional or Temporary Teaching Certificate — REQUIRED.

Appropriate Florida elementary education certification or other teaching certification accepted for the assignment.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience teaching elementary school students.

Strong classroom management, communication, and instructional planning skills.

Ability to successfully complete required background screening and fingerprint clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Florida Gifted Endorsement or eligibility to obtain the endorsement, as required for the assignment.

Previous experience teaching gifted or academically advanced elementary students.

Experience with differentiated instruction, enrichment programming, and gifted Educational Plans.

Familiarity with Florida gifted education standards and instructional practices.
