Food Service Coordinator in Kingston, New York at Mental Health Association in Ulster County, Inc.

Overview
MHA in Ulster County, Inc. seeks a Full Time (35 hours per week) Food Service Coordinator to work with the Program Director of Wellness Services to develop and coordinate food programs within the Clubhouse structure and psychiatric rehabilitation model.
The Food Service Coordinator has a schedule of Monday - Friday: Monday 8:30am-4:30pm; Tuesday 8:30am - 6:30pm; Wednesday 8:30am-3pm Thursday 8:30am - 3pm; Friday 8:30am - 3pm with slight flexibility in afternoon times based on order deliveries.
The pay rate for this position is $21.70 hourly.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with internal and external related departments, companies and agencies as needed.
• Ensures that the standards of quality assurance are maintained and that all regulations are met.
• Development of nutritious menus weekly/monthly.
• Meet and maintain all Board of Health regulations.
• Perform all shopping needs and ordering of supplies for the program (Hannaford and Sysco).
• Maintain all food storage areas, make sure they are clean, organized and no food items have expired.
• Prepare and serve all meals (breakfast, lunch, and Tuesday dinners).
• Oversee the cleanliness of the kitchen and pantry.
• Work with participants and teach groups related to cooking and nutrition.

Qualifications

• Required qualifications are an Associate’s Degree and 2 years relevant experience in the food industry, or a High School Diploma or Equivalent and 3 years relevant experience in the food industry.
• Experience working with adults in the Mental Health or OPWDD fields is preferred but not required.
