Position Overview

We are seeking a Blending Operator to join our production team at our Coldwater, Michigan facility on 3rd Shift.

This role is responsible for operating blending equipment to accurately prepare refractory metal powder blends in accordance with engineering specifications and production schedules. The Blending Operator plays a critical role in ensuring product quality, material traceability, and process consistency while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Requirements: Key Responsibilities

• Operate blending equipment to prepare materials according to work orders and production specifications
• Weigh, measure, and mix raw materials while maintaining strict quality and process controls
• Monitor blending operations to ensure product consistency and specification compliance
• Complete production documentation, material traceability, and inventory transactions accurately
• Perform routine equipment inspections, cleaning, and basic preventative maintenance tasks
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed
• Maintain housekeeping (5S) standards and follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and cross-train on additional production equipment as needed

• Accurate production records and complete material traceability
• Safe operation of equipment with strong adherence to company procedures
• Minimal production downtime through proper equipment care and preventative maintenance
• Positive teamwork and flexibility across manufacturing operations
• Continuous support of quality, safety, and operational improvement initiatives

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 2+ years of manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Experience following detailed work instructions and manufacturing procedures
• Basic math skills and ability to accurately measure and record production data
• Forklift or material handling equipment experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and work safely in a manufacturing environment
