Caregiver (In-Home Care) – Pocatello, ID

About the Role

Happy to Help Caregiving is seeking compassionate, dependable caregivers to join our team serving clients throughout the Pocatello area. As an in-home caregiver, you'll provide non-medical support that helps seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities continue living safely, comfortably, and independently in their own homes.

What You'll Do

Based on each client's individualized care plan, responsibilities may include:

  • Providing companionship, conversation, and emotional support
  • Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
  • Preparing meals and snacks while encouraging healthy nutrition and hydration
  • Performing light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, changing linens, and maintaining a clean, safe home
  • Providing medication reminders (no handling or administering medications)
  • Assisting with walking, transfers, repositioning, and mobility support using walkers or wheelchairs
  • Providing transportation for appointments, grocery shopping, errands, and approved community outings
  • Offering respite care for family caregivers
  • Documenting services provided and communicating client updates or concerns to the office
  • Supporting each client's independence, routines, dignity, and personal preferences

Qualifications

We're looking for individuals who are compassionate, dependable, professional, and committed to providing outstanding care.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Kind, patient, and respectful attitude
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow written care plans and verbal instructions
  • Comfortable assisting with personal care and mobility
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality

Preferred

  • Previous caregiving, home care, CNA, healthcare, or customer service experience

No prior caregiving experience is required. We provide training and value reliability, compassion, and a willingness to learn.

Position Details

  • Location: Pocatello, Chubbuck, Inkom, Fort Hall, and surrounding communities
  • Schedule: Flexible full-time, part-time, evening, and weekend shifts available
  • Type: In-home, non-medical caregiving
  • Environment: One-on-one care in private residences
