ABOUT THIS ROLE

Geronimo Power is seeking a SCADA Engineer to support the design, implementation, troubleshooting, and ongoing improvement of SCADA and communication systems across its utility-scale renewable energy portfolio. This role will provide

technical support for projects in late-stage development, construction, commissioning, and operations, while helping the company strengthen internal SCADA capabilities and reduce reliance on third-party support. The SCADA Engineer will partner

closely with Operations, Construction, IT, Asset Management, external utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and third-party off-takers to support reliable facility communications, control systems, and operational data exchange. This role may require occasional travel to project sites, vendor meetings, or company offices based on business needs. Periodic

after-hours support may be required to troubleshoot operational SCADA or communication issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, modify, and evaluate standards, specifications, systems, processes, or facilities to support company objectives as a subject matter expert

• Support construction projects with technical coordination of critical path work

• Work closely with the construction, operations, IT, and asset management teams to ensure site communication diagrams are accurate and saved for record

• Talk through conceptual communication designs with 3rd party off takers

• Contribute to discussions with internal groups on topics such as ICCP communications, RTO/ISO market data, facility operational data, and control systems for renewable projects

• Partner with SMEs and cross-functional teams, as needed, to ensure that business decisions are being made with all stakeholders being considered

• Self-manage workload and priorities to align with company initiatives and project goals

• Support 3rd party coordination during commissioning of new facilities and any troubleshooting needed

• Support 3rd party coordination during operational life of existing facilities and any troubleshooting needed

• Troubleshoot SCADA, RTAC, ICCP, and communication system issues across utility-scale renewable energy facilities.

• Document processes and procedures relating to your work

• Other duties as assigned



WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of experience with communication systems surrounding renewable energy projects

• Advanced level knowledge of communication systems commonly used within the power generation industry.

• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Teams; SharePoint)

• Experience working with SEL RTAC preferred

• Experience working with Ignition by Inductive Automation

• Experience deploying and supporting PMUs

• Experience implementing and supporting ICCP with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and third-party entities.

• Experience with Ignition by Inductive Automation for SCADA development, deployment, troubleshooting, and system administration (strongly preferred)

• Analytical minded; Detail-oriented; Well-organized; multi-tasker

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills involving the ability to work cross-functionally to understand requirements, present alternatives, and recommendations

• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage multiple concurrent projects

• Ability to understand technical documentation related to renewable energy projects such as market requirements, interconnection agreements, and facilities studies

• Ability to explain communication system ideas and concepts to external stakeholders Strong preference may be given to candidates with the following:

• Professional Engineer (PE) Registration

• SCADA design and/or SCADA maintenance experience

• SCADA, RTAC, ICCP, and communication system issues are resolved timely and effectively across operating renewable energy facilities.

• Internal teams gain stronger in-house SCADA troubleshooting and support capability, reducing reliance on third-party engineering support.

• Site communication diagrams, system documentation, and procedures are accurate, current, and accessible for operational use.

• New facilities are successfully supported through commissioning, third-party coordination, and transition into operations.

• Lessons learned from operating facilities are translated into practical system improvements, feature enhancements, and long-term replacement strategies.

• Cross-functional partners view the SCADA function as a reliable technical resource for development, construction, operations, IT, and asset management decisions.

Pay Range for the posted level: $85,000 - $140,000 plus target annual bonus opportunity of 15%. Actual compensation may

vary based on experience, skills, and demonstrated market-relevant expertise
