SUMMARY
Must adhere to the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (AGLC) Casino Terms and Conditions; as well as other applicable municipal, provincial and federal laws and regulations. Assist in maintaining good public relations with patrons and maintain a good report with all employees. Comply with safety and security standards of the corporation and complying with pre-determined internal control procedures. Is responsible for dealing the assigned games during the shift.
QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated knowledge of casino operations, gaming rules and regulations. Demonstrated experience receiving, securing, handling, counting and reconciling, and distributing large sums of money. Within 90 days, demonstrated working knowledge of the game of Black Jack, and dexterity with Black Jack playing cards. Demonstrated effective and diplomatic customer service and communication skills, which includes contacts with Team Members and Customers.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Graduation from gaming training school or equivalent is desired. One (1) or more years of recent and related gaming experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have a valid and current Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission Gaming License. Must maintain a current AADAC phase #1 training card and must be familiar with FINTRAC. Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills using English.
REASONING ABILITY
No decision making is required beyond scope of essential duties.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Essential duties involve performing physical exertion: dexterity with cards and chips, brisk walking, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing and standing for an entire work shift with standard breaks. Working any day of the week and any shift of the day.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Essential duties involve working with large numbers of people while in an inside environment, which is frequently loud or containing high noise levels
