Job Description
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of residential and commercial pools and spas. The incumbent will service a prescribed route and keep clients informed of recommended modifications while providing exceptional customer service.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clean an average of 12-15 pools per day per company procedures and standards, including but not limited to the technician’s prescribed route, one-time cleans, vacation service and coverage for other technicians as assigned.
- Report issues and/or concerns to field supervisor for resolution or further action.
- Complete all customer paperwork and weekly timesheet.
- Provide coverage for other pool maintenance technicians as needed.
- Perform maintenance tasks including but not limited to: brushing; netting; vacuuming; emptying baskets; backwashing; cleaning single cartridge filters; lubing o-rings; balancing chemicals; labeling pipes; treating algae.
- Ensure notes in Pool Brain are accurate and up to date. Update notes as necessary, including: Access; filter type, make, and model; pump make and model; chlorination system make and model; parking location.
- Engage with customers in a professional, courteous, and brand-positive manner.
- Stay current with industry standards, technologies, and regulatory changes affecting pool maintenance.
- Additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Excellent attention to detail and observational skills.
Ability to work independently.
Strong communication skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Customer service experience in a maintenance or service-oriented business.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequently move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Operate a company vehicle.
Position self to retrieve items and perform tasks at various levels including ground, waist, and overhead.
Perform physical activities that may include lifting, carrying, or adjusting equipment, tools, or materials.
Visual acuity to inspect pool conditions and read chemical labels and gauges.
Manual dexterity to operate equipment, tools and mobile devices.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including heat and humidity, for the entirety of the shift.
Ability to safely access pool decks, mechanical rooms, and other service areas.
