Job Description

Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Dining Room Attendant for The Farnam, Autograph Collection in Omaha, NE.

Hourly Salary: $12 per hours, plus tips

Job Purpose:

The Dining Room Attendant plays a key role in creating an exceptional guest experience by maintaining an immaculate dining room and providing attentive support to the service team. This position ensures the restaurant remains clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times while anticipating operational needs and supporting seamless service.

Essential Responsibilities
Guest Experience
  • Provide a warm, professional, and welcoming presence for every guest.
  • Greet and assist guests as needed while maintaining Forbes-level hospitality standards.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests.
  • Maintain awareness of the dining room to anticipate guest and server needs.
Dining Room Support
  • Set, clear, and reset tables according to restaurant standards.
  • Assist servers by promptly refilling water and replenishing dining essentials.
  • Deliver bread, condiments, and other support items as directed.
  • Maintain clean and fully stocked service stations throughout service.
  • Assist with room service tray removal when needed.
  • Support special events through room setup and breakdown.
Cleanliness & Organization
  • Maintain exceptional cleanliness throughout the dining room, service stations, kitchen support areas, and storage spaces.
  • Break down bus tubs and properly organize dishware.
  • Store clean wares in designated locations.
  • Empty trash receptacles and maintain dumpster and recycling areas.
  • Dispose of glass safely in designated containers.
  • Break down cardboard and dispose of recyclable materials appropriately.
  • Sweep and mop assigned areas following sanitation standards.
  • Report maintenance, safety, or cleanliness concerns immediately.
  • Maintain grooming and uniform standards at all times.
Team Support
  • Work closely with servers, bartenders, hosts, culinary staff, and leadership to ensure smooth service.
  • Assist wherever needed during periods of high business volume.
  • Help protect company assets by preventing unnecessary loss or damage of equipment and dishware.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum age of 18
  • Previous restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to cleanliness and detail.
  • Positive attitude with a passion for hospitality.

This job requires the ability to perform the following:

  • Physical Requirements
The physical demands listed below are representative of those required to successfully perform this position.
    • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
    • Frequently bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, and lift.
    • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
    • Push and pull carts weighing up to 250 pounds.
    • Carry serving trays weighing up to 30 pounds.
    • Work in varying temperatures, including kitchen environments and walk-in coolers/freezers.
    • Safely operate cleaning equipment and basic restaurant equipment.
    • Work efficiently in confined spaces while maintaining awareness of surrounding staff and guests.
    • Maintain manual dexterity for handling dishware, glassware, utensils, and cleaning tools.
