THE ROLE
We are looking for a highly driven, analytical, and execution-oriented Trade Marketing Associate Manager to join our Professional Beauty team in Mexico.
This role is responsible for developing and executing trade marketing strategies that accelerate sustainable growth, strengthen brand presence, and improve commercial performance across direct customers, distributors, and key professional beauty channels.
The Associate Manager will act as a key link between Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams, translating brand and commercial priorities into effective customer and channel plans. The role will also be responsible for identifying business opportunities through performance analysis, optimizing the trade marketing mix, and ensuring the timely and effective execution of launches, promotions, visibility initiatives, and distribution plans.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute customer and channel specific trade marketing plans for the Professional Beauty portfolio, ensuring alignment with brand strategies, commercial priorities, and business objectives.
- Analyze business performance, including sell-in, sell-out, distribution, customer performance, promotional effectiveness, category trends, inventory levels, and building blocks, translating data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
- Identify growth opportunities by brand, customer, channel, and product portfolio, and partner with Sales and Marketing teams to develop initiatives that address business needs and improve performance.
- Lead the trade marketing planning and execution of product launches, commercial initiatives, promotions, customer activations, and visibility programs, ensuring timely and consistent implementation.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and regional or global teams to ensure alignment, feasibility, and on-time delivery of key projects and initiatives.
- Develop volume forecasts and demand assumptions for product launches, distribution expansions, promotional activities, customer opportunities, and brand initiatives, incorporating sell-in, sell-out, and inventory trends.
- Track and evaluate the performance of building blocks, promotions, activations, launches, and trade investments, identifying learnings and recommending improvements for future executions.
- Prepare and present business reviews, including commercial performance, key opportunities, risks, competitor activity, and recommended action plans, to senior stakeholders.
- Manage and monitor trade marketing budgets related to promotions, visibility, activations, and customer initiatives, ensuring proper allocation, financial discipline, profitability, and return on investment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Commercial Management, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in Trade Marketing, Customer Marketing, Commercial Planning, Sales, Category Management, or a related function, preferably within the beauty, consumer goods, retail, or FMCG industries.
- Strong analytical capabilities, and solid understanding of trade marketing fundamentals, including distribution, assortment, pricing, promotions, visibility, customer planning, and performance measurement.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- High level of ownership, accountability, initiative, and attention to detail.
- Commercial mindset and strong orientation toward results, execution, and continuous improvement.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively with local, regional, and global stakeholders.
Desirable:
- Experience in professional beauty, hair care, cosmetics, personal care, or salon industry.
- Experience working with distributors, wholesalers, retail customers, or multiple commercial channels.
- Experience managing trade marketing budgets, promotional evaluations, or return-on-investment analysis.
- Knowledge of demand planning, forecasting, inventory management, or sales and operations planning processes.
- Previous experience working in a global, regional, or matrixed organization.
