Job Description

Heritage Industries, a leading name in the work truck and equipment industry, is hiring a Field Service Truck Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll travel to client sites to perform service calls and repairs on a wide variety of work trucks and equipment every job is a new challenge. We’re looking for someone with strong communication and customer service skills, sharp diagnostic and troubleshooting ability, and a genuine sense of ownership over every job from start to finish. A hands-on understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems is essential, since much of the equipment we service comes from a wide range of manufacturers with little to no documentation available. Duties and Responsibilities

• Must understand and adhere to the personal responsibility of safety and work safely at all times. Adhere to all company safety programs and policies and enhance the safety culture of the company.

• Perform services and repairs in the field on various makes/models of equipment, including Heritage, IMT, Stellar, Venturo, Miller, Mi-T-M, Boss, and others cranes, welders, compressors (screw and piston), PTOs, pumps and variable pumps, and Miller Enpaks.

• Must comply with all DOT regulations, including obtaining and maintaining a DOT Medical Card to operate company field service vehicles.

• Willing to work out of town, overtime, and on weekends if necessary.

• Maintain field service vehicle and all company-provided equipment.

• Order and return parts as necessary for each job performed.

• Schedule and maintain workload; must consistently follow and adhere to the assigned work schedule.

• Maintain accurate daily timekeeping and thorough, high-quality technician notes/documentation on all diagnostics, repairs, and work performed, including daily reports, inspections, and timecards.

• Willingness to pursue certifications Heritage pays for, such as MSHA, CDL, crane inspector, and air tank inspector training (not required of every technician); once certified, you may be asked to take on those responsibilities.

• Ability to work as a team, communicate effectively, and take ownership of assigned areas and tasks.

• Take ownership of client problems and provide solutions. Must consistently deliver world-class customer experience.

Required Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a clean MVR (no more than 1 moving violation under the age of 25, and no more than 2 if over the age of 25).

• Current Utah driver's license.

• Must be safety conscious with an excellent safety record. Must use TRACK in all aspects of every job.

• Strong working knowledge of truck equipment: hydraulics, electrical, and pneumatics is required, including the ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics and diagnose issues without OEM documentation.

• Willingness to learn troubleshooting skills from other journeyman mechanics and utilize tech support as necessary.

• Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Demonstrate excellent work ethic with self-motivation, ability to work safely with minimal supervision on customer job sites, while maintaining expectations of thoroughness.

• Strong time management skills; must accurately track daily time and maintain detailed, high-quality technician notes on all work performed.

• Have a positive team-first attitude.

• Must have or be able to obtain all tools required for field service repair.

• Must be willing and able to work overtime, and possibly weekends if necessary.

• Ability and willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing environments.

• Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the work truck industry, automotive, and/or truck equipment upfit, service and repairs — the more industry-specific knowledge, the better.

• Experience with field service and in-shop service operations.

• Experience with cranes (IMT, Stellar, Venturo, or similar), compressors, or variable pump systems.

• Understanding of CAN bus systems is a huge plus.

• Current MSHA certification.

• Associate degree or Technical Degree in automotive or diesel mechanics.

Travel Requirements

• Is Travel Required? Yes.

• Travel Details: Call outs on a regular basis both locally and throughout the states of Utah, Arizona, Wyoming, Nevada, and Idaho.
