Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Quality Manager based in the United States.
This role sits at the core of ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of secured lending operations across a fast-moving, AI-driven financial environment. You will lead end-to-end quality control across origination, servicing, collections, and non-performing loan workflows, helping safeguard both regulatory compliance and customer outcomes. Acting as a first line of defense, you will design and execute risk-based quality frameworks that strengthen decision-making across the lending lifecycle. The work blends hands-on quality testing, data-driven analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Product teams. You will also help modernize how quality is measured by leveraging automation and AI-powered tooling. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives in structured ambiguity and wants to build scalable quality systems in a regulated, high-growth environment.
- Lead execution of the secured lending quality control program across origination, servicing, collections, pre-close and post-close reviews, compliance testing, and investor defect analysis, ensuring consistent quality standards across the lifecycle.
- Design and oversee QC sampling methodologies using statistically sound, risk-based approaches aligned with regulatory expectations and audit readiness requirements.
- Drive root cause analysis of defects, repurchase demands, early payment defaults, and servicing issues, translating findings into actionable remediation plans.
- Develop dashboards, reporting frameworks, and executive-level insights covering defect trends, sampling coverage, cure rates, and corrective action tracking.
- Own and enhance the QC Engine, including rule governance, output validation, and performance calibration to ensure accurate quality measurement.
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Compliance, Legal, Risk, and external servicing teams to align on standards, escalation paths, and remediation execution.
- Prepare the organization for regulatory exams and audits through strong documentation practices, evidence management, and examination-ready processes.
- 7+ years of experience in quality control, compliance testing, or risk management within consumer lending, with strong exposure to secured products such as mortgage, auto, or home lending.
- 2+ years of leadership experience managing QC analysts or audit teams, with ownership of quality programs or frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with pre-close and post-close file reviews, defect identification, root cause analysis, and corrective action management.
- Strong understanding of regulatory environments and exam processes involving agencies such as CFPB, OCC, or FDIC.
- Experience designing QC sampling methodologies, including both risk-based and random sampling approaches.
- Familiarity with servicing oversight, non-performing loan analysis, early default monitoring, and investor-related quality issues.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Competitive base salary with performance-based bonus and equity opportunities
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage
- Retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions
- Paid time off, holidays, and parental leave programs
- Annual wellness and productivity allowances for personal development and tools
- Mental health support, employee assistance programs, and wellness resources
- Flexible remote-first work model across the United States
- Learning and development resources, including training platforms and career growth support
- Inclusive, collaborative culture focused on mission-driven financial innovation
