Senior Creative Strategist, Performance Marketing

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Creative Strategist, Performance Marketing based in the United States.

This is a high-impact, fast-moving role sitting at the core of a performance-driven paid social growth engine. You will own the end-to-end creative strategy for Meta, shaping how millions of users first discover a category-defining product. The role blends storytelling, consumer psychology, and performance marketing into one discipline where ideas must both capture attention and drive measurable acquisition. You will operate in a high-velocity environment where creative testing, iteration, and scale are constant. Success requires turning complex workflows into simple, compelling narratives that stop the scroll. You’ll collaborate closely with growth marketers, designers, and creators to continuously push the boundaries of what performance creative can achieve.

Accountabilities:
  • Own the full creative lifecycle for Meta paid social campaigns, from insight generation and concept development to scripting, storyboarding, production direction, and iteration, ensuring all creative aligns with performance goals and user acquisition targets.
  • Develop and execute high-volume testing systems, producing and overseeing 100+ ad creatives per month while maintaining clarity, storytelling quality, and measurable impact across all assets.
  • Translate performance data into actionable creative strategy by analyzing key metrics (e.g., CTR, Hook Rate, Hold Rate, CPE, CPA) and identifying scalable winning angles and narratives.
  • Continuously test and refine new ad formats, storytelling approaches, and visual styles to improve performance and differentiate campaigns in competitive paid social environments.
  • Collaborate closely with editors, designers, and creators by writing clear, scalable briefs that preserve creative intent while enabling rapid execution.
  • Stay ahead of cultural trends, platform updates, and competitive signals to proactively identify new opportunities for creative experimentation and growth.
  • Challenge existing performance marketing conventions with bold, insight-led ideas that are validated through structured testing and iteration.
Requirements:
  • 4–6 years of experience in paid social performance marketing, with a proven track record of creating and iterating high-performing creative that drives customer acquisition.
  • 2–3+ years of experience in a creative strategy-focused role, owning insights, hypotheses, and end-to-end creative direction.
  • Strong hands-on creative background (e.g., filmmaking, editing, storytelling, content creation), with the ability to understand and direct production at a detailed level.
  • Experience working across agency and/or in-house environments, with a strong understanding of fast-paced, results-driven creative execution.
  • Strong analytical fluency with performance marketing data and tools, with the ability to translate metrics into actionable creative decisions.
  • Ability to think in audience-driven narratives, emotional hooks, and behavioral insights rather than rigid templates or formulas.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate creative rationale and performance hypotheses to cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with AI tools as accelerators for research, ideation, and iteration, while maintaining strong creative judgment and taste.
