Position Title: Isuzu Assembly Operator

Location: South Carolina

Job Summary

HTI is partnering with Isuzu to hire Direct Hire Assembly Operators in Greenville, SC. Candidates should have prior manufacturing experience, a stable work history, and be able to pass a background check and drug screening. Join the team at Isuzu!

Shifts Available

All Positions

  • 1st Shift: Monday–Friday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
  • Shift time is moving to four 10-hour shifts in the fall
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 1 year of work experience
  • Manufacturing or automotive assembly experience preferred
  • Ability to follow standard work instructions and complete tasks consistently
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, or production equipment
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to detail
  • Basic problem-solving and communication skills
  • Commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement (Kaizen)
  • Ability to work on-site around noise, machinery, and varying temperatures
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 60 lbs occasionally
  • Comfortable wearing PPE (uniform, bump cap/hard hat, safety shoes, gloves, ear & eye protection)
  • Visual acuity for inspections and reading instructions
  • Flexibility to work overtime or alternate shifts as needed
What You’ll Do

As an Assembly Operator, you will:

  • Assemble vehicle components on the production line using standard procedures and tools
  • Follow work instructions, visual aids, and takt-time schedules at your workstation
  • Inspect work for accuracy and quality to defined standards
  • Use torque tools, hand tools, and other equipment safely and correctly
  • Communicate abnormalities or quality concerns to a Team Leader/Supervisor
  • Participate in daily startup activities, team meetings, and safety huddles
  • Support changeovers, model changes, and line rebalancing as directed
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area aligned with 5S and safety protocols
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
  • Assist teammates and rotate into other assembly positions as needed
  • Assist with hoist operation and safe handling of heavy industrial components as directed
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support department and company goals
