Future Opening: Regional Accounting Manager in New York, New York at Stonegrove Roofing Partners

• Oversee accounting and financial reporting activities for multiple operating companies within an assigned region
  
  
• Review monthly financial statements and ensure timely, accurate month-end and year-end close processes
  
  
• Provide leadership, coaching, and support to accounting team members across assigned operating companies
  
  
• Maintain and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and financial best practices
  
  
• Review balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and other key accounting activities
  
  
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and general ledger functions as needed
  
  
• Monitor job costing, project profitability, work-in-progress reporting, and other construction-related financial metrics
  
  
• Partner with operating company leadership to provide meaningful financial insights and help identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  
  
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and financial planning
  
  
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve consistency across partner companies
  
  
• Support integration and accounting transition efforts for newly acquired businesses
  
  
• Partner with Stonegrove's corporate accounting and finance teams on reporting requirements, audits, tax matters, and other initiatives
  
  
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
  
  
• Travel to operating companies within the assigned region as needed to build relationships and provide hands-on support
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  
  
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in an accounting leadership or management role
  
  
• Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
  
  
• Experience overseeing month-end close, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
  
  
• Experience with job costing and WIP accounting strongly preferred
  
  
• Construction, roofing, home services, or another project-based industry background strongly preferred
  
  
• Experience supporting multiple locations, business units, or legal entities is a plus
  
  
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial information into actionable business insights
  
  
• Comfortable working in a growing, fast-paced environment where processes continue to evolve
  
  
• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
  
  
• Ability to work collaboratively with both accounting professionals and operational leaders
  
  
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing competing priorities
  
  
• Willingness to travel within the assigned region as business needs require
