Position Description
The Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) seeks applicants for a tenure-track position in water technology and/or water resources, with an expected start date of July 1, 2027. The successful applicant will teach and advise at the undergraduate and graduate levels in Environmental Science and Engineering (ESE) and in the new Energy, Climate, and Environment (EnCE) program. Harvard SEAS provides a highly interdisciplinary and collaborative environment, with the opportunity to work with students and colleagues from diverse fields, including strong connections with departments in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the professional schools.
Basic Qualifications
Candidates are required to have a doctorate in environmental engineering or related field by the time the appointment begins.


Additional Qualifications
We seek candidates who have a strong research record and a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching, training, and advising in ESE and EnCE. The successful candidate will teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Three letters of recommendation are required, and the application is considered complete only when at least three letters have been received. At least one letter must come from someone who has not served as the candidate’s undergraduate, graduate, or postdoctoral advisor.

Salary Range
$140,700-$174,500 for tenure-track rank.

Pay offered to the selected candidate is dependent on factors such as experience, training or qualifications, field of scholarship, and accomplishments in the field.
