Position Summary

Mike Calvert Ford is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Pickup & Delivery Driver to support our growing Service Department. This position is responsible for safely picking up customer vehicles from their homes or workplaces, delivering them to the dealership for service, and returning them once repairs are complete. As a driver, you'll serve as a representative of Mike Calvert Ford and help provide a professional, convenient, and positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick up customer vehicles at scheduled homes, businesses, or designated locations
• Safely transport vehicles to and from Mike Calvert Ford
• Confirm the customer's identity, vehicle information, contact information, and requested services
• Complete vehicle walk-around inspections at pickup and delivery
• Document existing vehicle condition, mileage, fuel level, warning lights, and visible damage
• Take required photographs using the dealership's Pickup & Delivery software
• Secure customer signatures and required service documents
• Maintain communication with customers, service advisors, and dispatch personnel
• Provide customers with timely updates regarding pickup and delivery status
• Verify that the correct vehicle and keys are delivered to the appropriate customer
• Protect customer property and maintain confidentiality
• Keep dealership transport vehicles clean, fueled, organized, and ready for daily use
• Follow all dealership safety procedures and traffic laws
• Assist with vehicle movement, customer transportation, or other service-drive duties when needed
• Immediately report accidents, vehicle damage, customer concerns, or scheduling delays to management
• Deliver a professional dealership experience during every customer interaction

Key Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to safely operate a variety of cars, trucks, SUVs, and commercial vehicles
• Ability to operate both automatic and manual-transmission vehicles is preferred
• Professional appearance and strong customer-service skills
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow a daily schedule
• Comfortable using a smartphone, navigation applications, text messaging, and dealership software
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while remaining in contact with the dealership
• Must successfully complete applicable background, driving-record, and employment requirements
• Previous dealership, delivery, valet, transportation, or customer-service experience is preferred but not required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to enter and exit vehicles frequently throughout the workday
• Ability to sit and drive for extended periods
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds when necessary
• Ability to inspect vehicles and document their condition accurately
