SemiGen is seeking a Manufacturing Technician – Automation to join our high-performing team. This position supports manufacturing operations involving automated and manual microelectronics assembly. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with—or the ability to learn—automated die attach and wire, ribbon, or ball bonding processes.

This is an on-site position.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and hands-on assistance to production operators.
• Set up, operate, adjust, troubleshoot, and maintain automated and manual back-end semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Operate automatic and manual wire bonders and eutectic and epoxy die attach systems in accordance with documented work instructions.
• Work from microcircuit layout drawings, production schedules, manufacturing procedures, process plans, and verbal instructions.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment and manufacturing process issues.
• Assist with process development, equipment qualification, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve process performance, product yield, quality, and manufacturing costs.
• Collect and analyze process data, support Design of Experiments (DOE), and prepare technical reports.
• Cross-train in multiple microelectronics assembly processes as required.
• Maintain accurate production and process documentation.
• Follow all applicable safety, quality, cleanroom, and ESD requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Associate degree in a technical discipline or a minimum of two years of experience in microelectronics or module assembly.
• Hands-on experience with automated die attach, wire bonding, ribbon bonding, or ball bonding preferred.
• Ability to set up, operate, adjust, and maintain microelectronics production equipment—or a demonstrated ability to learn these systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, analytical ability, and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing production priorities.
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment and following ESD controls.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with production, engineering, and quality teams.
• Highly motivated, with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and sense of accountability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and report preparation, strongly preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Experience setting up and adjusting an MRSI-705 automated die attach system.
• Experience working within ISO 9001, applicable MIL-STD, and ITAR-controlled manufacturing environments.
• Experience conducting Design of Experiments and presenting technical findings.
• Experience supporting equipment qualification, process validation, or continuous improvement initiatives.
