About ADCCO Paving Contractors

At ADCCO Paving Contractors, we believe the work we do is about more than asphalt. We pave with purpose — driven by quality, powered by people, and committed to building stronger communities.

Based in Middle Tennessee, ADCCO provides new asphalt paving, pavement rehabilitation, and maintenance services for commercial, municipal, industrial, and community projects throughout the region. We are proud of the quality of our work, but we believe the people behind that work are what truly set us apart.

We aim to be Middle Tennessee’s most trusted paving contractor — putting people first, prioritizing safety, and delivering consistent quality. That starts with building a team of dependable people who take pride in their work, support one another, and want to grow with the company.

As ADCCO continues to grow, we are committed to creating opportunities for our employees to grow with us. Whether you are experienced in the paving industry or looking for an opportunity to build a career in construction, we are always looking for people who want to work hard, contribute to a strong team, and take pride in what we build together.

Come help us pave the way to stronger communities.

Position Overview:

As a Field Laborer, you’ll support our paving, and patch crews with a variety of hands-on tasks in the field. This role is essential to keeping each jobsite running safely, smoothly, and efficiently. You’ll work outdoors on roads, parking lots, driveways, and commercial sites, assisting with material handling, site preparation, clean-up, and general crew support. You’ll be part of a hardworking, team-oriented crew that takes pride in delivering quality results. Construction experience is preferred for this role, and candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test as part of the hiring process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform hands-on labor tasks including shoveling, raking, lute work, sweeping, and site clean-up
  • Assist with placement, movement, and handling of materials, tools, and equipment
  • Support site setup, including traffic control, work zone organization, and maintaining safe work areas
  • Operate basic hand tools and small equipment as trained and directed
  • Follow direction from the Foreman and crew leadership, maintaining pace and production expectations
  • Assist with grade checks, measurements, and basic layout tasks as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free jobsite at all times
  • Communicate clearly with crew members to support workflow and coordination
  • Work in varying weather conditions and active construction environments
  • Identify and report safety hazards, equipment issues, or jobsite concerns immediately
  • Follow all ADCCO safety policies, PPE requirements, and OSHA guidelines at all times

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in asphalt paving, construction, or outdoor labor preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding outdoor environment in varying weather conditions
  • Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and performing repetitive manual labor tasks
  • Ability to follow direction, stay on task, and contribute to overall crew productivity
  • Strong work ethic with a team-oriented mindset and willingness to support crew needs
  • Reliable transportation required; valid driver’s license preferred
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends during peak season
  • Dependable, punctual, and committed to showing up ready to work each day

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive pay based on experience
• Referral bonus program
• Opportunities for raises and advancement based on performance
• Safety-focused environment with PPE provided
• Health, dental, and vision insurance options
• Paid time off, holidays, and leave (including parental and bereavement)
• Company-paid life and critical illness insurance

What We're Looking For:

• A team player who works well with others and supports overall crew success
• An individual who can follow direction, stay on task, and keep pace with the crew
