OB Hospitalist Medical Director Opportunity in Growing Dallas/Fort Worth Market!



Responsibilities

Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital has a rich history in North Texas as a Level III Trauma Center, Advanced Acute Heart Attack Ready Center and Advanced Primary Stroke Center, serving the communities of Arlington, Kennedale, Dalworthington Gardens, Pantego, Mansfield and Grand Prairie advanced life-saving care close to home. The hospital services include comprehensive cardiac care, women’s services with full-service breast center and advanced imaging, joint replacement, orthopedics, rehabilitation services, cancer services, and advanced wound care. The hospital is also certified by the Texas Department of State Health Services as an advanced Level III Maternal and Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, providing specialized care to our tiniest patients.

We are are seeking an experienced OB-GYN Hospitalist Medical Director to lead the development and long-term success of this program.

Medical Director Role Overview

As Medical Director, you will provide clinical leadership and strategic direction for this OB-GYN Hospitalist program. You'll partner closely with hospital leadership to ensure a high-performing, collaborative, and patient-centered service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the OB-GYN hospitalist team
  • Lead program development, including workflows, protocols, and team culture
  • Drive quality improvement, patient safety, and performance metrics
  • Collaborate with hospital administration, nursing leadership, and community OB/GYNs
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and mentorship of hospitalist providers
  • Ensure compliance with clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices

Clinical Practice Highlights

  • Schedule: 24-hour, in-house shifts
  • Team Structure: 1 Medical Director + 4 OB-GYN Hospitalists
  • Scope of Practice:
    • OB and GYN triage and surgery
    • Labor & delivery management
    • Obstetric and gynecologic emergencies
    • Inpatient consults
