Job Title: Senior Physician Assistant – Urgent Care/Emergency
Location: Folsom/Roseville, CA
Onsite
Schedule: Various schedules, including evenings/weekends as needed
Salary: $175,200 – $264,800/year
Travel: Up to 50%
Key Responsibilities
* Evaluate patients, take medical histories, and perform physical examinations.
* Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, ECGs, and other diagnostic studies.
* Diagnose and treat patients and develop appropriate care plans.
* Perform procedures such as suturing, wound care, injections, and other department-specific procedures.
* Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress in the medical record.
* Provide patient and family education regarding treatment and follow-up care.
* Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges when required.
* Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
* Participate in quality improvement and clinical initiatives.
* Mentor and support less experienced Physician Assistants.
* Work evenings, weekends, or other schedules based on department needs.
Required Qualifications
* **3+ years of experience as a Physician Assistant within the last 5 years.**
* **Extensive experience in Emergency Department and/or Urgent Care.**
* Graduate of an **ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.**
* **Active California Physician Assistant license required at hire.**
* **Physician Assistant National Certification (NCCPA) required.**
* **National Provider Identifier (NPI) required.**
* **Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.**
* Strong clinical, communication, and patient-care skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
* Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
