Demi Chef de Partie (Luxury 5-star Hotel)
Job DescriptionWe are partnering with a prestigious luxury hospitality group to recruit professional and service-oriented Demi Chef de Partie to join a high-standard hotel operation.
This role is ideal for hospitality professionals who are passionate about delivering refined service, understand 5-star standards, and take pride in creating memorable guest experiences.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Chef de Partie (CDP) in managing the daily operations of a specific kitchen section, stepping in to lead the station in the CDP's absence.
Oversee and execute the preparation of complex ingredients and base components (sauces, stocks, butchery) according to exacting 5-star recipes and portion controls.
Maintain impeccable cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the assigned workstation, ensuring all equipment is in peak operating condition.
Strictly uphold and monitor food safety, HACCP, and sanitation standards, ensuring the team follows all local and international health regulations.
Drive food production during peak service periods, ensuring every dish meets the hotel's high-standard quality, temperature, and timing.
Oversee the proper storage of high-value ingredients and conduct regular inventory checks to ensure freshness and minimize food cost wastage.
Execute advanced plating and presentation techniques, ensuring every dish leaving the station is visually stunning and consistent with the Executive Chef's vision.
Carry out tasks assigned by the Sous Chef and provide guidance to Commis Chefs to ensure smooth, efficient kitchen operations and a positive team culture.
Minimum 1.5 years of experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen role within a 5-star or luxury hotel environment.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written; additional languages are an advantage.
Advanced knowledge of professional culinary techniques, including precise butchery, sauce making, and temperature-controlled cooking (e.g., sous-vide).
Proven ability to manage a specific kitchen station (Larder, Sauce, Grill, or Pastry) independently during high-pressure service periods.
Comprehensive understanding of HACCP, food safety, and sanitation standards, with the discipline to enforce these rules among junior staff.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume luxury kitchen while maintaining an extreme focus on detail and consistency.
Strong interpersonal skills with a leadership-oriented attitude; able to motivate Commis Chefs and maintain a positive kitchen culture.

Willingness to work demanding shift schedules, including split shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
