What is the Role?

Intersection is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and solutions-driven Advertising Inventory Associate to join our midwest team in Chicago.

This role sits at the center of the advertising campaign lifecycle and plays a critical part in supporting revenue generation, operational execution, and inventory strategy across our transit and out-of-home advertising portfolio. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex logistical puzzles, and can balance day-to-day execution with a proactive mindset toward process improvement and operational efficiency.

In this role, you will help manage and optimize advertising inventory across multiple media formats and markets, ensuring campaigns are accurately scheduled, operationally executable, and aligned with client expectations. You’ll work closely with Sales, Operations, Client Success, and other cross-functional teams to support campaign execution while helping identify opportunities to improve workflows, systems, and team processes over time.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both operational execution and strategic problem-solving, and who is excited to grow within a collaborative, evolving organization.

What you will accomplish:

Within your first month:

  • Onboard and train with fellow Inventory team members on inventory management workflows, operational processes, and core systems including Quattro, CRM, and Salesforce
  • Develop a strong understanding of Intersection’s advertising products, inventory structure, and market offerings
  • Build relationships with cross-functional partners across Sales, Client Success, Operations, Production, and RevOps
  • Begin supporting basic availability requests, inventory holds, campaign scheduling, and work order management
  • Learn how inventory decisions impact operational execution, occupancy strategy, and revenue support

Within your first 3–6 months:

  • Independently manage availability requests, inventory holds, and campaign scheduling across assigned markets and media types
  • Coordinate campaign execution across internal systems while ensuring accuracy, operational feasibility, and alignment with client expectations
  • Communicate proactively with Sales and Operations regarding campaign changes, scheduling conflicts, posting instructions, and execution timelines
  • Develop strong market knowledge to provide strategic inventory recommendations and maximize revenue opportunities
  • Troubleshoot operational and inventory-related issues with a solutions-oriented mindset
  • Help identify workflow inefficiencies, process gaps, or opportunities for operational improvements within existing systems and processes
  • Cross-train across markets and products to support broader team coverage and operational resilienc

You're a great fit for this role because:

  • You are highly detail-oriented and exceptionally organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • You are proactive, resourceful, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-moving environment
  • You are an analytical thinker who enjoys problem-solving and working through operational complexities
  • You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across teams and personalities
  • You are adaptable and comfortable navigating evolving processes, systems, and business priorities
  • You are curious about process improvement, operational efficiency, and leveraging technology to help teams scale more effectively
  • You have 1–3+ years of relevant experience in advertising, media, operations, logistics, inventory management, project coordination, or a related field
  • Experience with Salesforce, Google Workspace, or inventory/order management systems is preferred
  • Experience with workflow automation, process optimization, reporting tools, AI-assisted workflows, or operational systems improvements is a plus, but not required

Total Cash compensation: $65,000 - $75,000

Hybrid Work Policy: Our team operates on a hybrid schedule to balance flexibility with face-to-face collaboration. We require all employees to be in the office every Tuesday and Wednesday. Please note that starting in September, this requirement will transition to three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday), with the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week.

At Intersection we celebrate every voice that makes us unique and every perspective that makes us grow. It’s our shared responsibility to create an equitable environment where every employee contributes to the culture of the company.
