We’re seeking a dynamic, driven, and compassionate Director of Vocational Rehabilitation to lead a growing department that supports more than 200+ clients and the 50+ employees who help them succeed every day. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both leadership and direct service environments — someone who can coach a team, navigate systems, build partnerships, and still stay connected to the people behind the work.
From collaborating with Utah Workforce Services to managing the realities of placement, compliance, and client success, this role truly covers the gamut. The right leader will understand that vocational rehabilitation is not just about employment — it’s about dignity, purpose, and creating pathways for people who are too often overlooked.
What You’ll DoThe Director of Vocational Rehabilitation oversees the day-to-day operations of the Vocational Rehabilitation department, ensuring high-quality services, strong compliance, and positive outcomes for both clients and employees.
Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing client intake, case management, and discharge processes
Leading, coaching, and supporting department employees
Ensuring accurate timesheet review and payroll approvals
Monitoring billing accuracy and operational efficiency
Maintaining compliance with DSPD and Workforce Services regulations
Preparing monthly reports that assess trends, goals, and outcomes
Managing departmental budgets and operational priorities
Supporting department growth and performance initiatives
Responding effectively to changing priorities, emergencies, and operational challenges
