Principal HEOR Researcher

This role sits at the intersection of real-world evidence, advanced analytics, and healthcare strategy, focused on generating high-impact insights that shape outcomes for patients with rare and complex diseases. You will lead end-to-end HEOR and RWE research initiatives, translating large-scale healthcare data into actionable evidence for life sciences, payer, and internal stakeholders. Operating in a mission-driven specialty pharmacy environment, your work will directly inform clinical, operational, and strategic decision-making. You will design studies, build statistical models, and develop data pipelines that support both publication-grade research and internal performance analytics. This is a highly independent and technically advanced role requiring strong ownership of methodology, data integrity, and analytical rigor. You will also play a key role in communicating complex findings to executive and cross-functional audiences in a clear and impactful way.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will lead the design, execution, and dissemination of real-world evidence and HEOR studies that support strategic and clinical decision-making. You will manage complex datasets, apply advanced statistical methods, and translate insights into actionable healthcare outcomes.

  • Design and execute end-to-end HEOR and RWE studies, including protocols, literature reviews, and analytical frameworks
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines, statistical models, dashboards, and visualization tools to support research and reporting
  • Apply advanced methodologies such as causal inference, survival analysis, regression modeling, and observational study design
  • Manage healthcare datasets ensuring high standards of data governance, quality, security, and compliance
  • Build and present dashboards and reports to support payer, manufacturer, and internal analytics needs
  • Translate complex analytical results into clear insights for executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Prepare abstracts, posters, and peer-reviewed publications for external dissemination
  • Support strategic initiatives through evidence generation and decision-support analytics
Requirements

You bring strong expertise in health economics, outcomes research, and advanced analytics, with the ability to operate independently in complex healthcare data environments. You are comfortable working with large datasets and translating statistical findings into meaningful healthcare insights.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an analytical, scientific, or technical field (PhD preferred)
  • 3–5+ years of experience in HEOR, clinical research, or healthcare analytics
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, R, SAS, or similar programming languages
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Strong understanding of observational research methods and advanced statistical techniques
  • Knowledge of healthcare datasets and coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, NDC, HL7, etc.)
  • Familiarity with healthcare quality metrics (e.g., HEDIS, PDC)
  • Strong communication skills with ability to present to technical and executive audiences
  • Understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance standards (HIPAA, GDPR)
  • Preferred: experience in specialty pharmacy, rare diseases, or life sciences environments
  • Preferred: familiarity with Azure, Databricks, or NLP-based analytics
