This is an exciting opportunity for a driven sales leader to combine hands-on business development with team leadership in a fast-growing SaaS environment. In this player-coach role, you will lead and mentor a team of Business Development Representatives while actively contributing to pipeline generation and outbound sales success. You will help shape strategic outreach initiatives, refine sales development processes, and drive high-quality engagement with enterprise-level decision-makers across key industries. You will collaborate closely with sales leadership to build scalable outbound strategies while fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement. Accountabilities:
  • Lead, coach, and support a team of Business Development Representatives, ensuring strong performance across inbound qualification, outbound prospecting, and enterprise opportunity generation.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, team coaching sessions, and live calling workshops to improve outreach effectiveness and team development.
  • Develop and optimize outbound sales playbooks, including messaging strategies, sequencing, target account prioritization, and qualification processes.
  • Monitor team performance metrics, maintain accountability standards, and provide transparent reporting on pipeline generation and qualified meeting targets.
  • Manage a personal outbound quota by engaging executive-level stakeholders across industries such as Consumer Packaged Goods, Retail, and Telecommunications.
  • Execute strategic multi-channel outreach campaigns focused on building meaningful conversations with complex buying groups and senior decision-makers.
  • Qualify leads using structured sales methodologies such as MEDDIC before transitioning opportunities to Account Executives.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, networking opportunities, and professional gatherings to strengthen brand visibility and market relationships.
  • Collaborate closely with sales leadership and cross-functional teams to continuously improve outbound performance and sales development strategies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales development, or outbound prospecting within a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
  • Previous leadership or mentoring experience managing Business Development Representatives or similar sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise sales processes, lead qualification methodologies, and pipeline generation best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute strategic outbound campaigns targeting executive and enterprise-level stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Experience using CRM platforms, sales engagement tools, and data-driven sales methodologies to optimize outreach performance.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote setting while collaborating with international and cross-functional teams.
  • Availability to work within Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours and reside within the United States.
  • Experience within industries such as SaaS, pricing optimization, revenue growth management, or enterprise software is considered a strong advantage.
