Director Sales (U.S. Utilities & Broadband)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director – Sales (U.S. Utilities & Broadband) in the United States.

This is a senior commercial leadership role focused on driving new revenue growth across the rapidly evolving U.S. utilities and broadband infrastructure landscape. You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing high-value enterprise opportunities with major players in telecom, ISPs, utilities, and engineering-led organizations. The role requires a strong hunter mindset, deep industry relationships, and the ability to operate complex, consultative sales cycles involving multimillion-dollar deals. You will engage directly with senior decision-makers, shaping tailored solutions across broadband design, engineering services, GIS, and network transformation initiatives. In addition to new business acquisition, you will play a key role in strategic account expansion and long-term client development. This position is ideal for a commercially driven leader who thrives in high-growth infrastructure markets and can translate technical solutions into significant revenue impact.

Accountabilities:
  • Own and deliver annual revenue targets by driving new business acquisition across the U.S. utilities and broadband sectors.
  • Manage full-cycle complex sales processes across telecom, broadband, CATV, power, water, gas, and infrastructure markets.
  • Build and maintain a strong, predictable pipeline with accurate forecasting and consistent deal progression.
  • Identify new market opportunities, whitespace areas, and emerging growth segments within the utilities and broadband ecosystem.
  • Develop and nurture senior-level relationships with executives and decision-makers across MSOs, ISPs, utilities, and engineering firms.
  • Lead consultative sales engagements, including proposals, presentations, and commercial negotiations for engineering and technical services.
  • Collaborate closely with internal engineering, delivery, and operations teams to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and strategic client meetings to strengthen market presence.

Requirements:

  • 10–18+ years of experience in sales, business development, or commercial leadership roles within engineering, telecom, utilities, or IT services.
  • Minimum 6 years of direct experience selling into the U.S. broadband and telecom ecosystem (MSOs, ISPs, utilities, or engineering firms).
  • Proven track record of closing multimillion-dollar enterprise or infrastructure deals.
  • Strong network of senior-level relationships across broadband, utilities, and engineering decision-makers.
  • Deep understanding of consultative, solution-based selling in technical or engineering-driven environments.
  • Excellent executive communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Valid U.S. work authorization (citizenship, green card, or applicable work visa).
  • Knowledge of broadband network design, GIS systems, or utility platforms is a strong advantage.

Benefits:

  • Competitive executive compensation package with performance-based incentives.
  • Fully remote work with flexibility and required travel as needed.
  • Opportunity to lead high-value sales in a fast-growing U.S. infrastructure market.
  • Exposure to major broadband and utilities transformation programs.
  • Collaborative, global engineering-driven environment with strong delivery support.
  • High autonomy in shaping sales strategy, pipeline development, and client engagement.
  • Direct impact on revenue growth and strategic expansion initiatives.
