Assistant Coach – Women’s Volleyball
JOB SUMMARY
Under supervision, the Assistant Volleyball Coach supports the head coach in coaching, operations, recruiting, and fundraising. This position is renewable for the next academic year, conditional upon satisfactory performance, availability of funds, and adherence to all Post University academic requirements and employment protocols. The Assistant Coach assists in planning and directing student-athlete training and assesses individuals' abilities and skill levels to determine appropriate team positions; assists players in reaching the highest athletic potential possible through athletic training and leadership skills. Must be familiar with NCAA rules and regulations. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a specified sport. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Work Location: Waterbury, CT
Anticipated Start: August 17, 2026
Compensation: Stipend (10 months)
Hours: Up to 20 hours per week
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Input compliance information intoFrontrushsoftware.
- Assist the head coach in scouting opponents.
- This position requires the ability to break down and evaluate film throughHudl.
- Supports a positive and competitive team environment.
- Be involved in on-campus recruiting visits.
- Assists with community service initiatives and program fundraising efforts.
- Performsother duties as assigned; may have other duties assigned in the athletic department as needed.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Working knowledge of NCAA Division I/II rules.
- Collegiate coaching and/or playing experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Eligible candidates must possess a clean driving record. Post University uses MVR reports as part of our pre-employment screening process.
- Ability to work both traditional and non-traditional business hours.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Qualified candidates should possess a bachelor's degree.
- Candidateshould have experienceplayingat the NCAA level.
- Collegiate coaching and/or playing experience preferred.
- Proven leadership ability.
- Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, student-athletes, and potential recruits and their families.
- Excellent communication, written and oral skills
- Demonstrated commitment to NCAA Division II guidelines and regulations.
